Meet ‘Maimuna Muhammad’, The First Miss Nupe Nigeria And National Nupe promoter


The first Miss Nupe “Maimuna Muhammad” was born to the blessed family of “Alhaji Muhammad Liman and Hajiya Ramatu Haruna Gbangban” both parent hail from Edati Local Government Area of Niger State.

Miss Nupe attended Gbangban Primary School, in Edati LGA, Government Girls Secondary School, Bida, and later went to Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru where she obtained her National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Public Administration.

However, As NYSC is mandatory for any higher institution graduant, she served her National Youths Service Corps in Niger State Government House, Minna.

Muhammad said her love for Nupe Cultural attires started right from the early days of her life because her father runs a fashion business in Lagos State.

So any time she visits Lagos for Holidays her father will make sure she returns home with huge cloths which are mostly cultural attires.

After her National Diploma, she began to showcase Nupe culture on Social Media handles, She venture into it fully during her Service year then the C. E. O of Rukoto TV was impressed and showed interest in what she was doing and decided to appointed her as Nupe Cultural Presenter (Dandan Nupe).

This gave her the opportunity to we’re she actively presenting Nupe Culture to the world and also on all Social Media handles.

Currently, She’s the C.E.O of the dandan Nupe venture and sells Nupe Attires. Finally AMB. QUEEN MAIMUNA MUHAMMAD. MISS ZUMA/NUPE NIGERIA. 2021/2022.

She has served as Yar-Gata Nupe of NANUS CAPs Chapter Bida and has received many awards within and outside the state.
