Match Update: Newcastle Loose To Arsenal With 2-0

Gabriel Martinelli was the who scored for Arsenal in second half of the game 93 seconds after he step into the football field off from bench.
Arsenal eventually beat Newcastle United to leave Eddie Howe’s side bottom of the Premier League without winning.


However, in the Magpies dugout for the first time after missing last weekend’s 3-3 draw with Brentford due to Covid, set up a team to try to contain Arsenal and take out a point.

It appeared as if the strategy might be working until Bukayo Saka slotted home from Nuno Tavares’ through ball in the second half.


Saka, who went injured and was replaced by “Gabriel Martinelli”. Martinelli scored goal with his second touch, with a wonderful volley from “Takehiro Tomiyasu’s” clipped pass over the top.


“He wasn’t comfortable. He felt depressed,” said Gunners boss Mikel Arteta of Saka as they await news of what is wrong with the England international player.


Both sides had hit the woodwork in an otherwise uninspiring first half.


Jonjo Shelvey’s long-range drive was tipped on to the bar by the diving Aaron Ramsdale – and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hit a sitter off the post from six yards out.


Till now Arsenal remain the fifth in Premier League, while Newcastle are five points adrift of safety with just over a third of the season gone.

Police Charged FFK’s Ex-Wife’s Co-Defendant For Alleged Forgery


The Nigerian Police force has arraigned the fourth defendant in the trial of “Precious Chikwendu”, the ex- wife of former Minister of Aviation, “Femi Fani Kayode” for alleged falsification of court documents against him.


“Mr. Azubuike Osakwe”, has been accused of forgery and defamation of character of the former minister of aviation.


The first information report alleged that on 10th March the defendants had forged documents and submitted it that Fani-Kayode had physically assaulted and sexually harassed, some of his domestic staff thereby embarrassing his reputation.


Others earlier arraigned over the case included: “Emmanuel Anaka”, “Precious Chikwendu”, and “Prisca Chikwendu”.


However, the defendant had earlier denied the allegation levelled against him.


Earlier, the police prosecutor, “John Iyagbemi” had informed the court that three other defendants remained at large despite efforts to produce them in court.


But the presiding magistrate of the court, “Elizabeth Woni” ordered the police to produce the remaining three defendants with immediate effect as the court “would not forgive this piecemeal arraignment.”


Meanwhile, the court has granted “Osakwe” bail in the sum of N2m bond and one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned to January 21 2022 for hearing.
